At our company, transport and quality is very important too us, we understand that each slate product is unique, and its journey from our factory to your doorstep deserves special attention.
Whether it’s slate tiles, paving, roofing slates or special cut-to-size pieces, we take pride in ensuring its safe arrival.
For smaller slate tiles, we also offer cardboard boxes packaging, what provide more flexibility for retailers and DYI companies.

Larger slate pieces
Slabs and Larger pieces require extra care due to their size and weight. For this kind of product we use larger crates reinforced with extra straps or opt for bundle.
Double-Checking Dimensions and quantities
At Minas Slate we take special attention to your ordered material – color selection, sizes, thicknesses and of cause quantities.
Before packaging, our quality control team verifies the dimensions of each slate piece – size, square and thickness.
We cut all our slate products both in metric (cm) and imperial (inches) sizes.
Transport & shipping
All measures are taken so that your product is delivered safety, with no loss in quality, quantity and characteristics.
The packaging is manufactured from environmentally correct wood from reflorestaration and all pallets are fumigated (BR 196 HT)
By request we can pack slate tiles firstly in paper boxes and even put your barcodes, what is very comfortable for big distribution and construction centers.
Also by request we can check the possibility of special customised packaging and labeling (certain number of slates per pack, etc). Please contact us to discuss all details.
Sending slate to the port
Container stuffing
For export of our slate products we use standard 20′ DRY containers – supertested 27 tons or customs weight for US market (depend upon the limit weight of each state – 19,9 tons, 24,5 tons, etc)
Port of loading
- for slate products – Rio de Janeiro or Sepetiba (RJ)
Professional and well-trained stuffing team inside the ports makes sure that our products will be delivered safety to their destination. All crates are well fixed inside the container to avoid any undesirable movement.
